Pilanesberg National Park (1)

Our trip to Hluhluwe-Umfolosi probably stimulated, rather than sating, our appetite for South Africa's wildlife, and we didn't feel ready to go home without another look into the world of the elephants, giraffes, warthogs and (maybe) big cats. So in our last week, we drove up from Johannesburg into North West Province to spend a couple of days in Pilanesberg National Park.

The trip was worth it. If we'd only been there for the few hours on the afternoon of November 26th we spent in the big hide at Mankwe Dam, it would still have been worth the drive.
